Music Information

Each team must have their music on a CD to be played for the competition. We strongly recommend two CDs, one for back up. Please be sure they are not scratched. A representative from your team must know exactly when to start the music. This person is responsible for bringing the CD to the table when your team is called on deck.

Legality Issues

  1. As a coach/director, it is important for you to be current on the USASF Safety Guidelines. If you have questions concerning any safety guidelines or questions regarding specific stunts, pyramids, and /or dance skills, please follow the guidelines below to ensure that you receive a timely and accurate response to your questions.
  2. For partner stunt and/or pyramid approval, we ask that you video your stunt/and or pyramid and/or any other skill in question and send an email with the video clip to Les Stella at les.stella@gmail.com. Please ensure the clip contains the mounting and the dismounting of the partner stunt and/or pyramid and contains the skill in question from front and side view. Do not send the entire routine – only the skill(s) in question.

Video Cameras and Flash Photography

Despite our staff's best efforts, unauthorized videotaping and photo taking continue to be a severe problem. In order to improve this, we have adopted a more spectator‐friendly position, but we need your help in making it work for everyone. We will allow family members to video and photograph their child's or friend's performance as long as it is done from their seat and in an unobtrusive or non‐distracting manner. It is expected that this video or photo is for personal use and, therefore, professional type equipment, videoing or photographing multiple performances, (i.e. an entire division, or every team from a gym) simply cannot be allowed.

Photography and Purchasing Photos

We are having an action and team photographer take pictures during the competition. Live action photos of each performance and team photos may be available. Make sure to check out the great photos and find out about huge savings when purchasing your team's photos on DVD.

Safety Issues

There will be a Safety Judge viewing every routine. All decisions made by the Safety Judge will be final. PLEASE DO NOT ASK STAFF IN PRACTICE AREAS TO DECIDE IF A STUNT/PYRAMID/MOVE IS LEGAL. DVD's or VIDEOS SHOULD HAVE BEEN SUBMITTED TWO WEEKS PRIOR TO THE CHAMPIONSHIP FOR ANY RULE CLARIFICATION.

Please refer to the Safety Guidelines available at www.USASF.net to answer any questions you may have concerning rules, age grid or glossary terms. You may also contact Les at 901.849.0578 for more information. Les is available Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM EST.
